Campumanes

Capital of the parish of the same name, Campumanes is one of the main population centers of the council of Lena, although having gone from the 300 inhabitants it had in 1920 to the 750 that it currently has approximately.

Campumanes is located at a crossroads, where the routes from Pajares and Huerna converge, which determined its strategic importance from very early on, which is still evident today. In 1247 it was endowed with a Puebla Charter, a privilege with which it was tried to channel the consolidation and growth of this population nucleus.
