Capital of the Lena council, La Pola is a town of just under 10,000 inhabitants, located at an altitude of 322 meters. It is located in a valley where the basins of the Nareo, Muñón and Lena rivers converge.
The origin of the population is in the Puebla Charter granted by the monarch Alfonso X in 1266. The neighborhood of La Caleya is at the origin of the map of the town.
