Antigua fábrica El Águila

Originally, this building housed the El Águila flour factory, later going to house the premises of the Avilés fire station, currently part of its facilities dedicated to a pilgrims’ shelter on the Camino de Santiago.

It is a rectangular-plan building, with a ground floor and two floors, to which a lower nave is attached.

The decorative elements are centered on the main building, whose openings are framed by ashlars, finishing off the main façade, located on one of the short sides of the construction, with a small oculus on which it is located, at the vertex of the roof, a rectangular pediment (in which the allusive inscription to the name of the old factory is located) crowned by the figure of an eagle.
