A town with less than 100 inhabitants located at the foot of the Sierra Plana de la Borbolla, at an altitude of 50 meters and near the sea, in a coastal area of karst modeling, with frequent formations of jesters (wells that originate from erosion limestone and that connect the sea with the surface of the coastal plain, generating jets of water and air of great spectacularity).

The town of Buelna has a well-preserved traditional farmhouse and some large houses of great architectural beauty.
