Edificios de la plaza del Carbayo

In the central square of the old town of Sabugo an old line of popular type houses survives, built in the 19th century and which reflects very well the building style that prevailed at the time when Sabugo was a fishing village separated from Avilés by the Tuluergo river.

There are two buildings with two levels each, a supported lower floor, based on four Tuscan-style columns, the access holes to the houses and the windows being arranged on a back plane of the façade, and an upper level in which the develops a continuous balcony, with wooden windowsills with turned bars. Behind this corridor, there are three holes of different dimensions in each building, with wooden carpentry, with firebreaks appearing at the ends of the two houses.
