The parish of San Miguel de La Carrera, located at an altitude of 207 meters and a short distance from the municipal capital, has a population of about 4,000 inhabitants, spread over many towns and villages. The parish church, dedicated to San Martín, was Romanesque from the 12th century and was destroyed during the civil war.
