Coastal town of the council of Colunga with about 200 inhabitants. It has a long history, locating here remains of an old marine fort and a Roman villa in the vicinity of the current parish church. In the Middle Ages it had a castle on the island of the beach, and there is also a monastery on the island. Among its hamlets, it conserves several constructions from the 18th and 19th centuries, as well as some construction of an Indian promotion from the beginning of the 20th century.
