Laboral Ciudad de la Cultura

Conceived as a Labor University, it is the work of the architects Luis Moya, Ramiro Moya and Pedro Ramírez Alonso, conceived in 1946 as a miners’ orphanage, destined in 1956 as a labor university. In a Neo-Herrerian style, imitation of the Escorial, it is arranged around a large patio. The religious temple is elliptical and all the elements follow classical sculptural orders. The center is dominated by a large tower 117 meters high.
