On Paraíso street, an entire section of Oviedo’s medieval wall is preserved, built in the 13th century and configured as a supporting wall for the historic center of the capital, located just above the wall, at a level well above that of Paraíso street. and the constructions located on the opposite flank to that of the wall. Other very minor remains of the wall are preserved in Jovellanos and Peso streets.
