Bridge built in the 1940s based on four large concrete pillars on which the deck sits, flanked by high concrete parapets, which form a kind of latticework. It has lighting lanterns. The bridge is for shared use of road traffic and pedestrians, with sidewalks on both sides of the board. At the intermediate point, a milestone marks the dividing line between the provinces of Santander and Oviedo, the official name at the time of its installation of the current provinces of Cantabria and Asturias.
This bridge is heir to an old wooden bridge that existed at this point from the end of the 19th century until the civil war, when it was destroyed.
