Village of the parish of Grandas de Salime, located at an altitude of 670 meters, on a plain. It has more than fifty inhabitants.

In Castro is located the castro del Chao Samartín, one of the most relevant testimonies of this type of towns in Asturias, to which a modern interpretation center located in an elevated position above the archaeological site has been linked for a decade, from which excellent panoramic views of it are contemplated.
